Artificial cells are designed and constructed with biochemical molecules in the wet laboratories. Gene replication, protein synthesis, metabolic reactions are occurred inside a small lipid compartment. Experimental demonstration and computational simulation are performed to address the question of what the minimal requirement of cell is.
